Event Description

Sometimes life throws a curve ball and legal issues arise. Take the time now to learn about the legal aid system, how to find free or low-cost legal help and get helpful tips about popular legal subjects such as consumer debt, housing, family law, employment, probate, veterans' rights and cannabis expungement. This presentation does not constitute legal advice.

CARPLS is Cook County’s largest provider of free legal services. Founded in 1993, CARPLS has helped nearly one million low- and moderate-income residents find solutions to their everyday legal matters. CARPLS gives legal advice and other brief legal services in all legal subjects over a legal aid hotline and numerous special projects, some of which are statewide.
