The library is located at 500 N. Dunton Ave. at the corner of Dunton and Euclid in Arlington Heights, IL.

Hours beginning Monday, October 18:
Monday–Friday: 9 a.m.–9 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sunday: noon–6 p.m.

 

The Hub Hours


The Hub is located on the first floor of the library and is for use by teens in grades 7-12.

Summer 2022 hours at the Hub run May 25-August 12. The Hub is now open Monday through Friday, noon-9 p.m.

ESL & Literacy Services Office Hours

Let us help you learn English or improve your literacy skills with a variety of learning tools in our ESL & Literacy Services Office located on the first floor of the library.

ESL staff are in the office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The ESL & Literacy office is closed on Sundays.

If you would like help finding resources, learning how to use digital resources from home, or information about virtual or in-person tutoring, please email esl@ahml.info. We can set up an appointment to meet in person or via Zoom, schedule a phone call, or provide a written explanation. We would love to hear from you!

Drive-Up Window Hours

Reserved items may be picked up at the drive-up window located in the underground parking lot. For your safety, we can only serve motorized vehicles at the drive-up window.

Hours:
Monday–Friday: 8 a.m.–9 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sunday: noon–6 p.m.

A drive-up book and media drop-off, located in the northeast corner of the underground parking lot, is always open.

Senior Center Reading Room Hours

The Senior Center Reading Room is currently open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Reading Room contains a collection of popular books (including the latest books available in large print), DVDs, CDs and audiobooks, all available for checkout.

 

Makerplace Parking & Location

Discover the Place where you can be a Maker, and join us at the Makerplace, the Arlington Heights Memorial Library's new makerspace and center for hands-on experiential learning, located at 112 N. Belmont Avenue, near Recreation Park. Limited parking is available in a lot behind the building, and street parking is available on Miner Street, Pine Street, Wing Street and Belmont Avenue. Book & Media Drops

Returning materials
Library items may be returned at the library, the bookmobile or at our book and media drops at Camelot Park, Frontier Park or the Arlington Heights Senior Center. Library items are picked up from the book and media drops on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Donating books to the Friends of the Library
Donations are currently only accepted at the main library building. The collection box is located inside the core entrance to the left of the stairs. The Friends of the Library are accepting book and media donations at the following times:

Monday: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

For donations by appointment, please call the Friends at 847-506-2663 and leave a message. Appointments are recommended for larger donations or alternate times.

The Arlington Heights Senior Center location is not able to accept donations.
