COVID-19 VACCINE AND TESTING

We have compiled a list of resources to help you access information about the COVID-19 vaccine. All residents of Illinois 5 years old and over are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine, and 18 years and older for the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Below you will find details about locations for receiving the vaccine. We have included links for residents in nearby counties. 

CDC Recommends the First Updated COVID-19 Booster, September 1, 2022. Eligibility: Pfizer-Biontech, 12 years old and up; Moderna, 18 years old and up.

APPOINTMENTS FOR IN-HOME VACCINATIONS Call the Village of Arlington Heights at 847-368-5760 and ask for Nursing Services to schedule an in-home vaccine. If you are not a resident of Arlington Heights, but live in Cook County, call 1-833-308-1988, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday to request an in-home vaccine. 

VACCINE LOCATIONS

Vaccinations are being administered at pharmacies, hospitals/medical centers, and local vaccination events. The links below provide locations for the vaccine as well as links to make an appointment online. Any available phone numbers are listed as well.

  • Vaccine Finder: Enter your zip code for a list of locations that may have vaccines available. You can then click a link to try to get an appointment at that location. 
  • Arlington Racetrack - Testing and vaccinations are available at the racetrack. Click the link for the details. Run by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
  • Cook County Community Vaccination Sites: Search for a vaccine in Cook County. 
  • Cook County Community Vaccination Program Events: Vaccination events taking place in suburban Cook County.
  • CVS: Walk-ins are welcome or make an appointment online.
  • Meijer: Make an appointment online or call the pharmacy in Rolling Meadows at 847-690-1210.
  • Northwest Community Healthcare: Appointments are available by phone at 847-618-0242 or online at https://mychart.nch.org/mychart/Authentication/Login? 
  • Osco: Register online or walk-in.
  • Walgreens: You will need to log in to your Walgreens account to access the calendar or call 1-800-925-4733 to make an appointment. Walgreens offers same-day appointments and walk-in vaccinations.
  • Walmart: Must create an online account to make an appointment. Walmart and Sam's Club also offer walk-in vaccinations.

VIRTUAL COVID-19 VACCINE TOWN HALL MEETING, HELD FEBRUARY 22View a Vaccine Town Hall presented by Cook County Commissioner Scott Britton, State Senator Ann Gillespie, and State Representative Mark Walker. They provided information on where suburban Cook County is in the vaccination process and how you can sign up to receive the vaccine.
