Event Description

Arlington Heights Historical Museum | 110 W Fremont St

Ving Tsun (pronounced Wing Chun) is an ancient Chinese martial art that was designed in times of war as a powerful military technology. We practice it in modern times to defend ourselves in the streets, as well as explore our own economy of motion, and to develop more profound relaxation. This martial art form also boosts the immune system as well as keeps you active without straining yourself. Join Sifu Cyrus of Northside Kung Fu in Chicago.

Class is designed for adults 18+

Sifu Cyrus began his training in Detroit with his Sifu, Lung Yat Tung in 2009. Four years later, he committed to live in training with his Sifu and shortly after began working as an instructor at the Detroit Kung Fu Academy. In 2018, he relocated to Chicago to form a new branch of the family. He continues to make trips to Detroit, Richmond, and other branch locations across the country to further his training. Sifu Cyrus is committed to passing down the Ving Tsun system in the same authentic and effective way that it was shared with him.

Before starting any new exercise program, it is advisable to consult a doctor. The Arlington Heights Memorial Library cannot be held responsible for any physical or mental injury caused directly or indirectly by participating in this class.
