• Art board, cardstock or newspaper on which to tape art work down (larger than your 8 x 10 paper)

• Liquid black watercolor
• Sponge for applying black watercolor

• 1 sheet 8 x 10 Canson watercolor paper (use 1/2" drafting tape to tape paper to your art board on all 4 sides with tape half on paper and half on board)

• Cray-pas Expressionist oil pastels: brown, white, and pale orange
