Event Description

The sensational marriage of Mexican artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera fascinated their contemporaries in the United States and south of the border. In this captivating lecture, art historian Jeff Mishur looks at the paintings of both artists and discusses how key moments in their private life are brought to life in specific works. Bring your questions.

Jeff Mishur is co-owner of Art Excursions, who provide private guiding in Chicago, lectures, and cultural tours. A popular speaker on art historical and travel topics, Mishur has his M.A. in Art History from Northern Illinois University and has taught at the university level for many years.

This program is part of the Art 101 series presented by Jeff & Michelle Mishur.
