Join the Makerplace's own Chef Brian for a hands-on cooking class celebrating the creativity and science-driven approach of James Beard Award–winning food writer and chef J. Kenji López-Alt. Together we’ll explore some of his most popular recipes, learning the tips, tricks, and techniques that make his food so approachable and delicious. Whether you’re a fan of his cookbooks or new to his style, you’ll walk away with fresh skills, inspired flavors, and a deeper understanding of why his recipes have become kitchen favorites.

Space is limited. Culinary classes are designed for adults 18+ and Arlington Heights cardholders. Register any time from 12 PM November 2 to November 3 at 11:59 a.m. to join the lottery for a chance to attend. Individuals will be chosen at random and notified on November 3.
