Scout Visits with the Library
Arlington Heights-based Scout groups can visit with the library in order to help earn their badges.
Scout groups can request a facilitated visit with the library twice per school year between September and May.
Request a visit using the Scout Visit Request Form at least 2 weeks in advance.
Girl Scouts can complete their badge requirements during their visit. Cub Scouts can fulfill a portion of their badge requirements during their visit. Options for Scout visits are listed below.

Wolf Cubs | Cubs Who Care Learn how to say “Hi, my name is ...” in American Sign Language and take an accessibility focused tour of the library! Digging in the Past Let's try our hands at paleontology for the day and discover dinosaurs and facts about them! |
Bear Cubs | Marble Madness Make a bag, learn a bit of history and jargon, and then play marble games at the library! Super Science Ask questions and guess the answers you’ll find after conducting different experiments! |
Webelos | Art Explosion Get creative and build on that creativity making multimedia art! Aware and Care Let’s tell a story using American Sign Language and take an accessibility focused tour of the library! |
Arrow of Light | Citizenship Is your troop considering the Little Free Library service project? Come to the library for discussion about the ways libraries serve their communities and receive book donation to start your Little Free Library. Engineer Identify local blueprints, build a paper rollercoaster, and then test and evaluate the structure you built! |
