Event Description

Join Chef Grace for this class focused on some of her favorite Thanksgiving sides. She'll demo some, you'll prep and cook along some, and everybody will taste before taking home a great packet of Thanksgiving-ready recipes.

Chef Grace Goudie is Executive Chef at Arlington Heights' Scratchboard Kitchen and a recent "Chopped" champ. Her passion for cooking began at a young age and led her to the Culinary Institute of America in Napa, CA. She has worked at Thomas Keller’s Ad Hoc and The French Laundry, one of the top-rated restaurants in the world, before making her way back to the Chicago area. Since our Makerplace opening in fall 2021, Chef Grace has been a regular instructor in our kitchen, sharing the secrets to her signature composed, but not complicated cooking.

Space is limited. Culinary classes are designed for adults 18+ and limited to one class per month, per Arlington Heights cardholder. Register any time from November 2 at 9 a.m. to November 3 at 8:59 a.m. to join the lottery for a chance to attend. Individuals will be chosen at random and notified on November 3.

The Makerplace kitchen is not a nut-free, gluten-free, or other allergy free environment.

To request disability accommodations, please contact us at 847-392-0100 or accessibility@ahml.info prior to the event.
