Event Description

THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN MOVED TO TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29.

Storyteller Anne Shimojima, a third-generation Japanese American, tells classic folk tales of Japan that sparkle with magic, humor, and wisdom. Meet Ooka the clever judge, a wise old woman, samurai warriors, and a spirit or two. Universal themes of cleverness and wit, respect for elders, evil punished, and good rewarded all appear in these stories that have come down through the ages to delight listeners today.
