Event Description

Learn the basics of water-bath canning, a safe and convenient method of preserving seasonal fruits and vegetables by turning them into jam and pickles. Food preservation expert Emily Paster will give you the confidence you need to begin preserving the harvest, whether it from the farmers’ market or your own garden!

Space is limited. Culinary classes are designed for adults 18+. Register any time from July 2 at 9 a.m. to July 3 at 8:59 a.m. to join the lottery for a chance to attend canning. Individuals will be chosen at random and notified by email on July 3.  

The Makerplace kitchen is not a nut-free, gluten-free, or other allergy free environment.
