Join us for our first-ever Cookiefest!
Need a place to create your holiday cookies? The Makerplace has you covered, with an all-day make-and-take experience, where you will gather your friends or family, spend an hour in our state-of-the-art Kitchen, meet new friends and neighbors, and enjoy the shared experience of crafting your cookie masterpieces.
You’ll provide the basic ingredients, and we’ll provide the equipment you need!
Here’s how to join the fun:
-
Register starting at 9 a.m. on December 2 to reserve a table for you and up to 3 guests. Please sign up only for the time slots that work for you.
-
Participants will be entered into a lottery. The lottery closes at 9 a.m. on December 3. Selected participants will be notified. If you are chosen, you will be removed from all other culinary class lotteries for this month.
-
Bring the basics: Your own flour, sugar, shortening, eggs, milk, flavorings and anything else essential to your recipe. Bring your own container to transport your cookies home. Please note: The Kitchen is not an allergen-free environment.
-
On the day of the event, we’ll provide a table to you and up to three guests, full use of Makerplace Kitchen equipment, including ovens, cooling racks, stand mixers, utensils, baking sheets, cookie cutters, some decorations and other items.
-
Your reservation will include one hour at a table in the Kitchen. Makerplace staff will assist, as needed, including oven use. Participants must sign a waiver in advance.
-
You’ll also have the opportunity to donate some of your cookies to our upcoming PADS Meal Prep Event benefiting our neighbors in need.
