Standards for citing content written by generative AI are evolving. Here are a some recent guides:
- Chicago Manual of Style
- MLA
- APA (specifically written for ChatGPT, but should also apply to other sources)
- Also consult this overview from the Purdue University Libraries and School of Information Studies
Your teacher, workplace or institution may adhere to different standards. Make sure to check with them as well.
You might also to not directly quote/use the summary generated by Summon Research Assistant, and instead consider it as a quick overview of the sources retrieved. You would then use and cite those sources in a more traditional manner in your research, especially in situations where you are not allowed to directly use/cite AI-generated content.
