Students create special gift for homebound readers

Students from the local homeschool co-op H.E.A.R.T. recently created more than 150 personalized bookmarks for our Library Delivery Services, which takes books, and other library items, to Arlington Heights residents who are homebound and unable to visit the library in person. Sixteen students worked together to create the beautiful bookmarks including the Payne sisters of Arlington Heights. In a letter to the recipients, 9-year-old Adley Payne wrote:

Dear Reader,

My class made these bookmarks hoping they would add a little extra fun to our reading.
We like reading and the library too. Enjoy your book!

Warmly,

The Project Club Class at H.E.A.R.T. School

The bookmarks are already bringing joy to local residents who receive deliveries of books, movies and music from the library each month. If you or someone you know lives in Arlington Heights and is unable get to the library, we can bring the library to you. Learn more about Library Delivery Services.
