The Lunar New Year starts on February 1st. 2022 is the year of the tiger. Throughout the month of January, you can pick up supplies at the Kids' World desk to make an origami tiger face. If you have your own origami paper at home, you can follow these directions:
- Begin by turning your square around so it is a diamond in front of you.
- Fold the bottom corner up to meet the top corner to make a triangle.
- Take the point at the right and fold over to the left creating a crease in the middle. Open up the triangle again.
- Fold down the top about 1inch to make the top of the tiger's head.
- Bring the right hand corner up so that the fold starts at the bottom of the crease and the outside edge meets the top of head to make an ear.
- Repeat on the other side.
- You can use a black marker or colored pencil to add a face or stripes to your tiger.
