Remember the Titans
Film 2000
Based on a true story, the movie follows the 1971 T.C. Williams High School Titans football team and their struggles with integration. I didn't want to watch another football film, but it is more than just another football film. We can all live together peacefully. At the end we are all people.
To Kill a Mockingbird
by Harper Lee
I read the novel in school, and although the movie doesn't do it justice completely, it certainly comes close. Both the novel and the movie are timelessly beautiful, thought-provoking stories that I would definitely recommend everyone read/watch at least once in their lifetime. It is such an important story of racism, poverty and justice and we can all learn from it.
The Truman Show
Film, 1998
The Truman Show epitomizes strong and original storytelling on screen. This film is emotionally engaging, didactic, witty, dramatic and very unique. Sometimes we need to stop looking only for material happiness and start searching for real happiness from within.
The Shawshank Redemption
Film 1994
A timeless masterpiece that transcends the boundaries of genre. Adapted from Stephen King's novella, this film is a testament to the power of hope, resilience, and the human spirit. I believe now days we need more of this. We need hope!
It’s a Wonderful Life
Film 1946
The film artfully challenges the prevailing notion of failure, exposing the subtle, often unseen, positive impacts that an individual can have on the lives of those around them. It serves as a poignant reflection on our tendency to overlook the profound influence we wield. Our reaction to things can affect others in ways that we have no idea. We have to think twice before we do or say things.

The Hero with a Thousand Faces
by Joseph Campbell
This is an extraordinary text. It is a journey to our own personal experience, as well as an exploration of the universal experience. Our deepest fears, needs and hopes. It says much about our lives, our religions, and our civilization. I found it gave me insights into my life, in all our heroic voyages, showing myth not to be the realm of fantasy, but of deep psychic truth.
The 48 Laws of Power
by Robert Greene
A compelling guide to understanding and utilizing power dynamics, illustrated through historical anecdotes and practical advice. Its controversial principles provoke thought and debate on ethics and manipulation in human interactions. We live all these every day.
