NOTES

The book of Isaiah is considered by the Jews to be the most important of all the prophecies, not only for its volume but also for the content found within it.[1] It was separated from the rest of the prophetical books into its own scroll. Apparently, the Lord feels like it is very important too because it is quoted directly at least sixty-six times in the New Testament and twenty of the twenty-seven New Testament writers reinforce their message by quoting Isaiah.[3] Its value can be illustrated by a number of things. First, only Psalms contains more predictions of Christ than does Isaiah. In Isaiah we find prophecies concerning:Christ's incarnationChrist's youthChrist's MannerChrist's ObedienceChrist's MessageChrist's miraclesChrist's sufferingChrist's rejectionChrist's shameChrist's deathChrist's ascension andChrist's second coming It might be considered, the "Bible in a Book" because of the similarities between the book of Isaiah and the Bible as a whole. The Bible has Isaiah has66 books in all 66 chapters in all39 OT books 39 chapters on judgment27 NT books 27 chapters on grace This book offers us more than a temporary fix for our world and our problems. It is an:Everlasting book that offers us andEverlasting hope
