Peter Riegert and Academy Award winner Burt Lancaster star in Bill Forsyth's charming, offbeat comedy about Texas oilmen seduced by the charms of a tiny Scottish village -- LOCAL HERO.Oil billionaire Felix Happer's (Lancaster--Field of Dreams) company has struck oil in the North Sea, but it needs a port out of which to base its drilling operations. The perfect harbor is found in a seaside village, and Happer sends Mac (Riegert) to buy then entire town, which--unbeknownst to Mac--is eager to take the money and move. But the charm of town that Mac is supposed to buy gradually transforms the oilmen in very unexpected ways
