Life became a drag after the First Contact War for two seasoned veterans. Then an SOS signal flipped everything upside down. They thought they knew everything, but it turned out not all life was accounted for in the universe. New, strange creatures are flooding in from the edges of the galaxy and they have an endless hunger. They've also decided to help a mysterious creature that calls itself Fenris the World Eater who's on a great mission to wipe these monsters called soul eaters out completely. The problem is, Fenris needs a ride to a hellish planet filled with these monsters. Can this World Eater be trusted or is it taking advantage of the generosity of humans desperate for a heroic tale?
