The Summer Camp Mystery: The Aldens are spending a week at Camp Seagull on beautiful Claw Island. But as soon as camp begins, they realize that someone is not playing fair. Are some campers so desperate to win the Olympics that they are willing to cheat? The Boxcar Children are determined to solve the mystery before the competition is ruined for everyone! The Copycat Mystery: The Alden children are going back in time by helping at an old Victorian house that has been turned into a museum. But rumor has it that the place is haunted by the spirit of practical joker Horace Wagner! Is there really a ghost? The Haunted Clock Tower Mystery: The Aldens are spending a weekend at Goldwin University for Grandfather's college reunion. The children are fascinated by the mysterious clock tower overshadowing campus and they soon learn that the tower might hold the key to a valuable secret from the past! But there are strange lights coming from the clock tower at night. Is it haunted? Or is someone else searching for the secret of Goldwin University? Three complete stories in one collection! Includes The Summer Camp Mystery, The Copycat Mystery, and The Haunted Clock Tower Mystery. The Boxcar Children Series was created by Gertrude Chandler Warner, a teacher, when she realized that there were few, if any, books for children that were both easy and fun to read. She drew on her own experiences in writing the mysteries. As a child, she had spent hours watching trains near her home, and often dreamed about what it would be like to live in a caboose or freight car. In each story, she chose a special setting and introduced unpredictable, unusual or eccentric characters, to help highlight the Aldens' independence and resourcefulness. Miss Warner lived in Putnam, Massachusetts until her death in 1979
