Jasmine Newton grew up with a strict father, an ex-Black Panther who raised her to be tough in a racist nation. After a unique upbringing of isolation, she finally has strong friendships with classmates from her alma mater. To celebrate their graduation, she and her friends - Shanan, Angelique, and Isaac - vacation away from the city on a rural farm by a lake, secured by Shanan's boyfriend, Brendan.
