The war is over. The Axis powers of the second world war have surrendered and the world has been rebuilding itself in an attempt to achieve normality once more. However, in that winter of 1947, another war had just begun. On a holiday to visit a few relatives in County Cork, Brendan Keane, a celebrated professor of psychology, and Joanna 'Jo' Lawrence are forced to face an unseen enemy whose weapon lies within hidden secrets and a darkness only created within the darkness of one's mind. Will they overcome disasters both man made and natural, or shall the madness destroy them all?
