Errata noted following Preface

"When Surry County North Carolina was first established from Rowan County in 1771, it included the present day counties of: Surry, a part of Wilkes, Stokes, Forsyth and Yadkin. Wilkes County was established from Surry and Burke Counties in 1777. Stokes County was established from Surry County in 1789 and Forsyth County established from Stokes County in 1849, so present day Forsyth County was included in Surry County until 1789. Yadlin County was established from Surry County in 1850"--Preface
