The Quisling is a contemporary action thriller that follows the story of psychiatrist Dr. Zack Scarlatto who becomes involved with a volatile and violent Mexican drug cartel. It's dangerous to be even remotely associated with the gang, and to make matters worse, Zack falls in love with a woman named Maria, whose husband Carlos is uncovered as a traitor of the organization and has disappeared. Zack knows who-and more importantly, where-Carlos (the "quisling") is. As such, Zack is a valuable player in the gang's effort to locate and kill him. Navigating a world of abuse, suicide, dysfunctional personalities, and organized violence, Zack must decide if the woman he has fallen in love with is worth risking his career for-and if it's indeed even possible to build a life together in the dark shadow of crime he has come to inhabit
