NOTES
In 1927, before the 15th Congress of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks), the United Left Opposition, in accordance with the party's charter, tried to state in detail its position and proposals for correcting the policy of building a socialist society. However, it failed to publish its platform, and the opposition was condemned only on the basis of indiscriminate accusations. This document ("Statement of the Thirteen", or "Draft Platform of the Opposition") for a long time remained completely unknown to wide circles of the party and society, although this platform was the last alternative to Stalinism. In our time, this document is important for a correct understanding of the historical events and ideological struggle of those years, allows us to understand the reasons for the collapse of the USSR that followed more than 50 years later, and is of interest for finding new ways to a classless society
