With a smile on his face he drove away with twenty-one million dollars of the mob's money. He drove south out of town, and after stopping at a small store and picking up a couple of empty cardboard boxes from out back, he continued to make good his escape. An hour later he pulled into the parking lot of the Airport. He was the only one there and he could see anyone approaching the airport for a mile in any direction. He'd checked this spot out a few nights ago, and it was perfect. Hell, the cops didn't even patrol this remote place at this time of night, mainly because there was absolutely nothing there. For the next few hours he worked diligently with the boxes he'd snagged, and using some good packing tape closed them when he was finished and put everything back under the tarp. Adjusting himself on the seat of the truck he grabbed a few hours of shut-eye, but he did this like he did when he was overseas, he slept with one eye open, very alert and poised. He was up and moving by first light the next morning
