This volume presents the scores for Beethoven's "26 Welsh Songs, WoO155". Composed between 1810-15, these dual English and German-language folk songs were written for one or two voices to be accompanied by piano, cello, and violin. The songs include: "Sion, the Son of Evan. The Chace of the Wolf - Sion, der Sohn Evans, oder Die Wolfsjagd", "The Monks of Bangor's March - Der Moenche Ausmarsch von Bangor", "The Cottage Maid - Das Hirtenmaedschen", "Love without Hope - Liebe ohne Hoffnung", "The Golden Robe 0 Das Gold'ne Wamms", et cetera. Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 - 1827) was a seminal German composer. He had a significant influence on the transition from the Classical to the Romantic era of music, and to this day he is considered to be one the most celebrated and important composers of all time.
