NOTES

Purpose The purpose of this information is to express the importance of "Getting Your Affairs in OrderіBefore You Take Your Last Breath" as JESUS the CHRIST did before taking His last breath on the cross (John 19:26-27іWhen Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son," and to the disciple, "Here is your mother.") (NIV) We too, should take care of our affairs before we take our last breath! Death is a topic very few people feel comfortable thinking about, not to mention planning for. We should no longer pretend it won't happen nor that it doesn't exist! The WORD tells us that we will leave this place (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18) although most may live as if they're here to stay! These bodies that we all are using is a temporary vessel which houses our spirits and at a specific time determined by our creator, GOD, our spirits will leave them. The Word says from dust we came and to dust we will return (Ecclesiastes 3:20). However. the law requires the body to be disposed of prior to its transition to dust. We plan months, sometimes years ahead for various vacations including our activities once we arrive! We also plan what we're going to do next week, tomorrow and even later the same day. However, we must realize that the next second isn't a guarantee! that we will still be here! It's by GOD'S grace that we're blessed with the time HE gives us. There's a saying "The only guarantees in life are death and taxes!" Have you really thought about how true that is? We plan financially and pay our required taxes. Why don't we do the same by preparing for our death? It would be so comforting for your loved ones, if you would plan and pay for your own funeral and burial services before you take your final breath. You may say that when you die, you don't care what happensіbut you should care! You should care about what your loved ones may go through whenіyour journey is over! Everyone and everything that has life will die at a specific time designated by GOD. Whether it's discussed or not, will not change its inevitabilityіit's going to happen! Why is it then that very few of us prepare for that day? Some reasons may be people may think they will cause that day to come sooner if they talk about it or prepare for it. While others just want to leave those expenses for their family to pay. Because we are not immortal beings, but mortal, we have a transitory or temporary life span. Therefore, it is certain that our life here on earth will end one day! However, because of GOD'S wisdom, grace, mercy and love, we are unaware of our designated time and manner of our final transition. There are various ways people transition, for example: as a result of a long- or short-term illness; an accident; murder; suicide; in their sleep or in the blink of an eye and it's not determined by age, financial status, popularity, race etc. ...it's just your time to go! Your life, as you currently know it, is going to end and no one knows when and how but God!
