Morning Flowers and Evening Harvest, formerly known as "Reclaiming Past Stories", is a collection of essays by modern writer Lu Xun. It contains 10 pieces of reminiscence essays written by Lu Xun in 1926. It was first published by Beijing Weiming publishing house in 1928 and is now incorporated into Volume 2 of "Complete Works of Lu Xun". As a "memory of memories", this collection of essays reflects the life of Lu Xun in his youth and vividly reflects the formation of his character and interest. The first seven articles reflect his childhood life in his family and private school in Shaoxing. The last three articles describe his experience of studying abroad in Japan from his hometown to Nanjing and then returning to teach. It reveals all sorts of ugly and unreasonable phenomena in semi-feudal and semi-colonial society, and at the same time reflects the difficult course of aspiring young intellectuals in the boundless darkness of old China, who took the bull by the horns and searched for light. It also expresses the author's nostalgia for the past relatives, friends and teachers. The anthology is mainly about true stories, full of strong lyric atmosphere, often accompanied by discussion. It integrates lyric, narrative and discussion, and is beautiful, harmonious, simple and touching. The works are full of poetic and artistic feelings, and are punctuated with humor and allegory from time to time
