On the eve of a farmers' revolt, Till Eulenspiegel, a fool and provocatuer, goes tearing through the countryside laying bear society's grievances. The powers that be try to silence him from opening people's eyes, but Till does not shy away from speaking the truth. He acts with wit and cunning towards the Kaiser, the clerics and the patricians. Time and time again he escapes trouble with a roguish laugh. The film is based on legendary character from old folk poems
