Title from title frames

Ever imagine what the first settlers west of the Mississippi thought when they first saw the Rocky Mountains? In this program, we are introduced to real-life mountaineers who help us re-live those glory days. First we meet a mountain climber, known as "a Colorado 14er," who climbs mountains that are only over 14,000 feet; then Matt Feeney, who despite his physical disability teaches other disabled skiers who never thought skiing for them would be possible. We visit the Phoenix Gold Mine in Idaho Springs that is operated by the oldest continuous gold mining family in Colorado. We learn about "man v. machine" at the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic, aka the Durango to Silverton Bike Race, which has become one of the classic bicycle events in the West. Also we learn how the 10th Mountain Division Troops helped found the first Colorado ski resorts
