NOTES

Title from title frames

Dogs are one of the most beloved animals in the world; there are over 70 million in the U.S. alone. This program pays tribute to a group of various dogs and dog lovers, while too providing a look at wolves in hope of raising awareness of them to help preserve their species. We look at the connection of humans and dogs, which then is underscored when we visit the Granby Classic Sled Dog Race, a challenging race that brings out the best in sled dogs. We learn about the Native American tale, the Coyote and the Badger, as well as the story of Shep, the Tool Booth Dog; then we visit a Dumb Friend's League, an organization that provides humane care to homeless animals. We conclude by looking at Border Collies, dogs that are invaluable in sheep herding
