NOTES

Read by Jennifer Ristvedt

The Brazos is a river that runs through Waco and Houston, Texas where our hero, Matt Jorgensen, has become the fast gun for the Bar M Ranch after escaping a lynching in Montana for a killing he never did. "Beyond" is a recap of the first six books where Ginny McBride, a young lass he met in book number 3, "Call of the Brazos", was shot by a Union soldier at the beginning of the Civil War and suffered from amnesia throughout the four years. She assumes a new name, Beth Paterson, and career and when she finally recovers, she seeks the man she loved who fought with Terry's Texas Rangers during the war. It took twenty years before the two finally met once again and this novel reveals their journey to find one another. The two women are now one and our hero, who had pledged never to love again, inadvertently falls in love all over again without realizing the total situation. With the twists and unforeseen conclusion, this novel will keep the reader on the edge of his/her seat to want to read more
