Candles and Incense is a dark story set in the mid-nineties about four friends who had known each other since early childhood. Three of the four find themselves in a bloody end leaving only one of them behind (Lacey) to tell the story of them and the depth of their intertwined relationship. Lacey, insane with grief over the death of her family, held against her will, meets Alan Louden the investigator for the crimes that led Lacey's friends to their death. Quickly she finds out how the questioning is to proceed. If she doesn't comply, punishment is severe. Against her better judgment she complies. During the course of the questioning Lacey's story unfolds about her life with her friends. The details explaining their bond and some of the intimate moments of their life together and how far they were willing to go to protect each other. Even as far as murder.
