Tyron Barrington may have grown up in a poor but hard working family on the island of Jamaica, but he always had big dreams. His imagination fired by Harold Robbins' book, "The Carpetbaggers," he dreamed of becoming a modeling agent in New York City, working with top models and photographers, and living life among the beautiful people. But it took years of work, relationship building, and listening to the voice of God to make that dream become a reality. But reality it became. Tyron spent years working with and building some of the industry's top modeling agencies and helping young women and men pursue their own dreams of modeling for Vogue, the pinnacle of the modeling world. Along the way, he encountered scoundrels and saints and people of heroic courage and some of questionable ethics. He confronted the horror of 9/11 and the tragedy of the AIDS epidemic. He helped some models thrive while helping a few troubled girls exit the business on their own terms. And he never wavered in his faith and service to the Lord, whom he credited with everything he accomplished. Finally, in 2003, after years of dealing with divas, looking out for back stabbers and babysitting spoiled models and agents, Tyron broke free of his dream business, taking with him his faith, ethics, and an undeniable optimism and positive energy that have helped him become a success in his new role as a producer and casting agent for commercial productions.
