Alice is playing chess in her father's study when the Red King comes to life and beckons her through a mirror into Looking Glass Land. She is greeted by the Red Queen, and the White King and Queen, who lament that their subjects are being terrorized by the evil Jabberwock. Alice sets off on her own adventure to put an end to the Jabberwock's harsh rule where she encounters such characters as Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Humpty Dumpty, and Lester the Jester
