Event Description

Curious to learn about all the 58+ genders (and counting) this Pride Month? What is the etiquette of pronouns? How does Generation Z look at the gender spectrum differently? How can our communities support our transgender neighbors? This presentation will answer your questions about affirming gender expansive individuals and the distinctions between gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, and sex assigned at birth. Learn how to be an effective ally and find books and resources for every age that illuminate LGBTQ+ experiences. Join your neighbors for this evening of learning and discussion.

Presented by Heather McCammond-Watts (she/her), a Children’s librarian, advocate, ally and parent of two transgender kiddos.

Register with up to 1 guest. Refreshments will be served.
