Laura McCrowley had already endured more than any young girl should. Her father had left to join the war and was killed. Not long after, her mother, addicted to alcohol and drugs, died when the Bluecoats came to take over the town. Young Laura was thrown into the saloon as a lady in waiting and taking abuse from cruel and heartless men. Until the day Tommy Hendershaw came to town.
