Compiled by her niece Fanny Knight's son Edward Hugessen Knatchbull-Hugessen (the first Baron Brabourne), and edited by Sarah Chauncey Woolsey, this collection includes a preface written by the editor and notes from Lord Brabourne. It was originally published in 1892. The cover art includes a sketch of Jane Austen by her sister Cassandra, to whom most of her letters are addressed, and an image of her handwriting. This edition of "The Letters of Jane Austen" was published in 1908 and is in the public domain
