Why was this happening?! Sujin Park (Asian name but totally California girl) lived a normal life. She had a good job as a research professor, was a dutiful daughter and loved to garden which sounded a little lame but was something she was passionate about regardless. How then did she end up getting shot at by terrorists, on the run for her life and most disturbing of all wake up to find a handsome Homeland Security agent at the end her bed. On all accounts Agent Thompson was considered an excellent Homeland Security Agent; he had experience, excellent instincts and most importantly, an uncanny ability to read people. But he couldn't get a bead on Sujin Park for the life of him. On the outside she was a beautiful petite Asian woman - a little shy for his liking and way too smart for her own good. And yet she somehow had gotten herself mixed up in a terrorist threat that had Homeland Security on high alert. He had saved her life at least three times and still she treated him like the enemy. Having grown up with four sisters, Sawyer knew a thing or two about stubborn women so he wasn't giving up. He had to get the mysterious Miss Park to quit bolting into danger, gain her trust and get her to learn to run to him. So the chase was on… starting in Seattle out to the wilderness of Montana they struggled to stay alive, fight their growing attraction and determine if they could trust their love to get them over the finish line.Excerpt:"Grrrrrugh!"The dog's protest at being squashed between a human sandwich abruptly separated Sawyer and Sujin."Jesus!" Sawyer growled in frustration before making some unflattering remarks about the dog's parentage."Sorry," Sujin apologized for the dog as she smoothed the affronted animal's furs. "Next time we kiss, I promise to throw the dog over my shoulder at the nearest bear so there won't be any interruptions." "I'd expect nothing less," Sawyer nodded in agreement about future tactics. "But it's for the best, we need to make time down this mountain to get back to the cabin before it gets dark.""Buttercup and I have been ready for a while now… you are the one that keeps distracting us," Sujin pointed out piously."Buttercup?" Saw asked dubiously."I believe once we clean her up that she will indeed be a delightful little buttercup," Sujin responded resolutely."Yeah right, just a few minutes ago you thought she was a rat. I take it she's getting a bath tonight?""Definitely," Sujin confirmed since she was holding the dog and had inhaled several unappealing fumes. "She's seriously aromatic and I never thought she was a rat. You said something about a rat which I may have reacted to but I wouldn't have considered this sweet little girl a disease-ridden rodent."
