He returns to the notorious Valley of Death, the dangerous tribal area bordering Pakistan, to find out what happened to his friends and family after the American invasion. Travelling to an area closed to most western journalists, he tries to find out why the Taliban are such an enduring force in Afghanistan and are only getting stronger. What are the prospects for peace in the coming years?
