Celebrate Día de Los Muertos:
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a significant Mexican tradition to honor and commemorate the lives of the dearly departed and to welcome the return of their spirits.
Dia de los Muertos Celebration
Join us on the first floor of the library to enjoy activities for all ages and learn about the traditional Mexican Day of the Dead! Make paper flowers, play Loteria, and visit our artist-designed Ofrenda. Families can drop into the Lindsey Room in Kids' World from 1:30-2:30 p.m. for additional crafts designed for grades K-3 inspired by Día de los Muertos.

Northwest Hispanic Chamber Business Expo 2025 - Sunday, October 5, noon - 3 p.m. / Join the Northwest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at Bell Works Chicagoland in Hoffman Estates, IL for a day filled with networking, business opportunities, and community engagement. This expo is the perfect place to showcase your business, connect with other professionals, and discover new ventures.

International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago - The International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago is always an excellent place to experience Latino culture through various art forms. During Hispanic Heritage Month, the center will host film screenings, live music, dance performances and more.
UIC Latino Cultural Center - The Latino Cultural Center at the University of Illinois in Chicago not only offers free public programs but also houses the largest indoor mural in Chicago. Explore the mural tour or join a guided tour of their heritage garden.
