Library Foundation
The Arlington Heights Memorial Library Foundation is a not-for-profit, 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization that provides support to the library by securing and managing donations from individuals, businesses and foundations to support the library above and beyond what public funding provides.
The Foundation pursues financing and in-kind services to supplement the library so additional avenues of learning can be achieved.
Visit the Foundation website for more information.
Donating to the Foundation
The Foundation raises funds to support many library initiatives including providing more than $290,512 in monetary and in-kind donations to help fund a commercial-quality kitchen and the sewing and art areas at the Makerplace, the library's standalone makerspace located just a few short blocks from the main library.
Additional funds of $129,623 have been collected for other initiatives at the library. All donations are considered Restricted and can be directed, by the donor, to several areas including:
- Youth & Family
- Makerplace
- Scholarship
- Older Adult Services
- Where the Need is Greatest
Gifts of any amount are always appreciated and acknowledged in the library newsletter, on an LED screen at the library and yearly in the Foundation’s Impact Report.
