NOTES
Orignally produced as a motion picture in 1931
Joan Crawford stars as a factory girl with two ways out of poverty: brains and beauty. Using her wiles, in no time she's living on Park Avenue, draped in designer gowns, dripping in jewels, and cuddled up with a man who isn't her husband. It's a scorching love match which mixes themes of greed, ambition, politics, and sex in a world where morals are in short supply. The sizzling chemistry between Gable & Crawford results in an unforgettable pre-code gem
