Makerplace Equipment
All Makerplace equipment is available to use free of charge. There are costs for materials used to produce items on some equipment. For a full list of materials and their prices please see our Makerplace materials and price guide.
Makerplace users may bring in their own pre-approved materials for use with our equipment. Staff must pre-approve outside materials used on equipment and reserves the right to disapprove non-compatible materials and tools. When seeking approval from a trained Makerplace staff member, please have available a copy of the item’s Material Safety Data Sheet (as available).
The Dremel Digilab 3D45 and 3D40 Flex are enclosed FFF 3D printers. They work by drawing the object layer by layer with melted plastic. Use our printers to take an idea from the digital drawing board to real life. Use a CAD program to design something yourself or find an interesting design made by someone else. Make tabletop game miniatures, pencil holders, custom-fit hardware for DIY projects, replacement parts for broken appliances and everything in between. |

The Accuquilt GO! Big Electric Fabric Cutter is used to cut up to six 12-inch layers of fabric while also allowing the use of dies, which provide unique cuts to your fabric. The wide opening allows you to run two 6-inch-wide dies at a time. Feel free to mix and match the dies we provide at the Makerplace or bring your own. The Comb Binding Machine at the Makerplace punches up to 12 sheets at a time and binds up to 350 pages. Use the comb binder to punch and bind pages up to 11 inches wide to create custom notebooks, handouts, or instructional manuals. |
This heavy-duty professional 1-inch, 1.25-inch, or 2.25-inch button maker allows you to make your own custom buttons. Using the included paper cutter, you can turn your art, photos and even pages from a magazine into a wearable button. |
The serger will allow you to sew a seam, trim the seam allowance, and overcast the edge all in one step. It features a 3/4 lay-in thread system, designed for finishing the edges and hems. A serger is a great tool to assist you with sewing projects. |
