Laser Cutter - Epilog Rotary
A dedicated rotary laser engraver built for cylindrical and round items. The Epilog Rotary uses a rotating attachment to engrave tumblers, glasses, bottles, ornaments, and other curved surfaces with the same precision as a flat bed laser.
This item is reservable. Arlington Heights cardholders may reserve select equipment at the Makerplace up to one week in advance by calling 847-392-0100. Non-cardholders may reserve equipment same day only.

How Do I Engrave with The Laser Cutter?
How Do I Engrave with The Laser Cutter?
Almost any black and white image can be used to engrave with the Makerplace's rotary laser. Logos and clip artwork work great and can be created in almost any design software, from Adobe Photoshop to Canva. If engraving photographs, the Makerplace recommends high contrast photos with simple backgrounds, since busy backgrounds can look muddy once engraved on a curved surface.
Have a photo with a busy background? Try Remove.bg or use one of the Makerplace's image editing programs to remove the background from your photo before engraving.
Recommended formats include: PNG, PDF, SVG, JPG
Please note: The Epilog Rotary is set up for engraving only. It does not cut materials. For cutting or flat engraving projects, see the Epilog Flat.
