NOTES
"This companion book to the beloved Ooko answers the question, where was Ruthie while Ooko was pretending to be him? In this new story from accomplished author and illustrator Esmé Shapiro, Ruthie decides to explore the kingdom outside his castle . . . right after breakfast that is. The great outdoors leaves much to be desired as far as this particular pooch is concerned. Mud? No thanks! But as Ruthie learns, a good friend is worth a whole mountain of butter berry pancakes. Venturing out of his comfort zone might have been worth it after all."--
