Brother 1034D Serger
The serger will allow you to sew a seam, trim the seam allowance and overcast the edge all in one step.
It features a 3/4 lay-in thread system, designed for finishing the edges and hems.
A serger is a great tool to assist you with sewing projects.

How do I use it?
How do I use it?
- Plug in the Brother Serger, but do not turn it on yet.
- Thread the three or four threads needed for your project. Instructions for threading can be found in the manual. Once you are done threading the machine, turn it on using the power button on the side.
- Adjust your tension as needed for your project. Make sure to test the tension first on a scrap piece of material.
- Create a chain of thread about four inches long before you start working on your project.
- Lift the presser foot and place the material well underneath the presser foot before you begin sewing. Slowly sew a few stitches by turning the pulley hand.
- Use the presser foot to sew your seam. The fabric will be fed automatically, you only need to guide it in the desired direction.
- When the seam is finished, keep the machine running slowly to create another chain-off thread. Cut the chain when it is two inches long.
