Reading Room at the Senior Center now open

The library’s Reading Room branch at the Senior Center is open, with limited capacity, for browsing and checking out materials from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  All Senior Center users will need to complete a health questionnaire and temperature check conducted by the Senior Center for admission to the building.  Screened visitors for the Reading Room will be admitted as space becomes available. When entering and while in the building, everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Although the Senior Center is now open, we are not offering hold pick up at that location. Reserved items that were originally requested for a Senior Center pick up have been redirected to the Drive-up window at the library.  Your hold notice may still say Senior Center as the pickup location, however, your items will be at the Drive-up window. We apologize for the inconvenience as we change operations due to COVID-19 for the safety of our customers and staff.

Our collection of materials has been arranged to support social distancing, and self-checkout is encouraged.   A reduced number of computers are available with use limited to one-hour.

Reading areas, newspapers and hold pickups will not be available at this time.  Returns of Arlington Heights library materials, including Reading Room items, can be made in the outside book drop to the west of Senior Center entrance.  The library is not currently accepting donations.
