Unfortunately, the scheme was a con and the antagonist was a criminal intent on stealing funds from people investing in the program. Caterina lost her investment and turned to Nate and Amy for help.Nate and Amy decided to create a High-Yield Investment Program (HYIP) of their own to entice the antagonist. They made it very professional and convincing with inflated financial projections, a fake website, and fake reviews. They introduced the antagonist to some friends acting as current seed investors who have made a lot of money from the program. The scheme was very appealing to the antagonist, who bought into it as an Angel investor hoping to augment his funds and learn how he can create his own copycat version of what he thought was a legitimate scheme.Nate and Amy put pressure on the antagonist for further funds, showing greater growth on investment until the money invested equaled the amount Caterina had lost. Once they reached this point, they folded the company and did not return the antagonist's money.
